We are excited and getting ready for our composting class!

On Tuesday, December 5th, come learn from Master Gardener and Harris Middle School 7th Grade Science Teacher, Ms. Loryn Windwehen and her Green Team Students in Composting 101 Class. Participants will leave with their own upcycled kitchen composter, several options for creating their own bin/pile, and a step-by-step introduction in this organic process. Our first Farmer's Market!

Our yellow squash survived the first freezes, thanks to the students working so hard to cover them from the cold! The lettuce in the bags LOVE the cold weather and went home with someone to make a great salad!
Harris has been the proud owner of these pepper plants for over three years, and we can not pick them fast enough! I hope someone shares pictures of the pico de gallo they make with them! Jalapeno, Banana Peppers, and Bell Peppers!

Ms. Windwehen, her Green Team students, and Mrs. TreviƱo are proud of their first harvest and ready for visitors! We had TEN people come out today and we sold out!

Rampage Game

Students and parents from the Harris Green Team got to take advantage of promoting their project at the Rampage game! We were able to speak to members of the community about the great things happening in the garden.

Thank you Silver and Black Gives Back!

The Harris Community Garden is now adorned with a new shed thanks to the Team Up Challenge! A big shout out to Backyard Products for the free delivery and installation. Thank you for helping out the community here at Harris Middle School.
